I believe everyone would agree when I say that the year 2020 has brought a very life-changing perspective into all of our lives. Some people may have experienced more positive outcomes, but unfortunately, others may have undergone more negative circonstances.
For myself, it has brought me a deeper connection and eye-opening with what matters most to me in life.
A few months ago, I have shared on my social media a glance of my current situation and what I have been going through for the past few months. It has not been easy and made me realize how much having a luxury peace of mind was my ultimate priority in life.
With that introspective, I will reassure everyone that I will always be a Luxury Fashion Designer and a Luxury entrepreneur, however; without a healthy mindset, it is very challenging to enjoy any other kind of luxury that you may have or would want around you.
This is why I wanted to dedicate my first blog post to focusing and prioritizing on our luxury mind first.
Before sharing with you all this maintenance advice that has been highly beneficial for me, I would like to remind you to please take note that all this information is based on my personal life experience.
Wellness and luxury mind
First, I sincerely believe that focusing on daily habits that are consistently practiced to maintain physical and mental health are the main ingredients to enjoy a luxurious life and peace of mind.
Being a Fashion Designer demands a constant new Ideal generation and for me, it’s majorly important to have a clear mindset and headspace to create more effectively.
Prioritize your mental health
For multiple years our society has stigmatized either in movies, media, and the medical industry the prioritization of our mental health as if it was not the key element to happiness and enjoying life to its fullness. We all have the privilege to have a brain and In my belief Mental health must be nurtured, maintained every day, and give the same amount of love as you would do to any simple habit like your daily self-care routine.
Find your own balance in your life
Nobody has the exact and same definition of a balanced life or a balanced routine. However, with my own experience, I realized that being consistently and consciously aware of your daily actions and how your mind and body react definitely will guide you to what your definition is of a more stable lifestyle. Doing what feels right for your mind or body.
Everyone is unique and I would suggest you be truly conscious, and find what is best for you and what gives you the ultimate amount of pleasure.
Always stay true to yourself and being authentic
I think we all have been created authentically for a reason and we should all embrace our differences. Embracing our difference allows us to become the best version of ourselves and give ourself self-love and unconditional self-care.
My advice for maintaining and having a luxury mind
As mentioned previously, everyone is different and has their way of coping with their mind and brain. I am more than happy to share what has been very beneficial for me.
- Exercising, meditation and yoga
For someone who has always been active, I enjoy walking, running and this year I’ve introduced and started meditating in my daily routine with just recently adding some yoga. I will admit that I was very skeptical at the beginning but when I started and stuck to it I was able to observe the significant difference in my days and how it would calm my brain and help me focus on my daily tasks.
Approximately, 10-20 minutes of meditation is enough to keep me energized and focused for the rest of the day. I will confess I do not follow this routine religiously, however, I try to practice and maintain this routine at least 5 times a week.
- Journaling
Writing my thoughts is something that I do to clear my mind from daily stressful events. This allows me to be more present with myself, creative in my work and also daily activities. It helps me to pay more attention to anything that triggers me or disrupts my quality of life. When I realize something negative is a pattern I am quickly able to identify the trigger and try to find a solution to resolve it as soon as possible.
- Follow your instinct by avoiding toxic environments and people
First, I want to mention that I am someone who is very open-minded and loves interacting with different types of people at social events, social meetings, etc… However, I have learned the hard way to be very selective with my inner circle.
In addition, life is challenging enough that you should only be surrounded by people who lift you and respect your space when you need or express your desire to grow. Once again, I think it’s all about balance. I may have learned everything the hard way over the past few years, yet, this has been one of the best lessons for me. I admit with starting and growing businesses and with the reality of aging and maturing, I had to make a lot of sacrifices and have an honest look at my surroundings, and be more aware of the people I mostly spend my quality time with.
- Invest your time with a healthy surrounding of people that support and encourage you
Having heard this piece of advice on so many occasions and then follow this important principle, surround yourself with people that inspire you to become the best version of yourself, is my last piece of advice I’ve been practicing more and more lately.
This one hit so hard home for me and it occurred to me that one of the reasons I was able to make it this far is by remembering so many kind words of all different trusted support systems that believed in me and that had made it possible for me to advance to the women and entrepreneur that I am. One single simple kind word may change one person’s life and mindset forever.
For some reason, and despite this last piece of advice may seem very minor for some of you but in my personal opinion extremely and maybe the most important to me. I sincerely believe we all need and deserve daily doses of kindness around us to move forward and achieve our goals with inner peace and happiness.
Conclusion
In retrospect, I think the main element of having and living a wonderful luxury lifestyle starts with a healthy mindset. Without consciously investing, integrating, and prioritizing these basics types of healthy foundations within our daily maintenance routine, it will be hard to enjoy any kind of luxury this beautiful life has and is aiming to offer us.
Finally, I wanted to share that I am so grateful to be part of a generation who is not afraid to address and change the narrative about mental health and its investment necessity in our daily life.
